These rings look like royalty! Satomi Kawakita makes them very thinly pretty and delicate.

Fabuluster does this special technique: like the one on the left though, the right one looks weird to me. The fingerprints are your partner's, so it'll be as if he/she's holding your finger all the while! So meaningful, and nobody will ever have the same ring as you!

No issue for me, I won't get married til much much later, I'm pretty sure technology + creativity will be even better and newer next time, who knows what ring makers will come out with!

Watched Jamie does Venice on teevee yesterday, one of the better tv programs on Aussie TV, and it was so comfortable! Familiar scenes of beautiful Venice, gondoliers... and Italians! He made a few dishes and of course there were tons of olive oil in each. There was a raw meat dish made famous by Harry's Bar, which was served cos an Italian lady got sick and couldn't consume cooked meat at all (?!) Think sashimi + salad, but beef instead of fish. I'm gonna try his cream-less tiramisu when I have time! Exciting! And I read on good food magazine that an easy way to separate egg yolk and white is to crack them through a serving spoon that has holes in it, sucha clever way instead of juggling! And perfect for me, who can't succeed 90% of the time.

AFM mid sem NEXT THURSDAY! :O 40% of the whole grade, really need to do well, if not, pass it. My weakest unit this sem, which makes no sense since I understood the whole concepts in Milan before. But I really just don't get it. Gary Smith's too smart for me. I don't understand what he's saying most of the time. And the textbook's not helping cos it's all over the place.

My brother's doing an internship with Esplanade, on lights and sounds, how cool is that! Backstage where you know what creates a brilliant performance. Hmm, miss drama.

Got inspired by Garance Dore to do up a list of fashion things I love, but wouldn't dare to try!

Short boyish hair-style, think Carey Mulligan. Short yet pretty. Very lady-like.
Tattoo. Small tiny one, I can't decide where to put it and IT HURTS. Yuck. Will probably stick to fake ones like how Chanel does it.
Red lipstick. Only people like Anne Hathaway looks pretty with it.
Desert boots. Cute and comfy, but I don't know how to carry it off!
Granny skirts. Those long vintage ones, I think I'll end up looking just like a granny.
Vintage two-piece swim suits. They look really cute with high waist! But closest I'll get is a one-piece, can be really stylish too!
Fancy nail-art. Even if I have pretty nails, they can only last 3 days judging by how often I wash dishes! And I would prefer a simple outfit with natural nail colour sometimes.
Dye my hair. Think it'll turn green one day from all the chemicals!

Hmm quite a long list, but I'm sure there're more, just not on my mind now. I wanna go shopping :(

Burswood is so shiok! I went to use their hot jaccuzi outdoors and the bath tub in their hotel room :) the bed is so comfy I didn't want to wake up! Short and quick trip this time round, kinda busy with Uncle's convo and preparing for Jodie's Birthday Party tomorrow! Wished I had holidays too.

Sean sold his car after one day of posting the ad and after the FIRST viewing. So relieved after selling it though at a loss, radiator leak found in minor servicing! We've been lucky daewoo 657 served us really well with no break downs. So he had to push down price to 1.5 k from original 3k! Poor hailed daewoo. I miss it! No more driving in Perth! And yes to more bus rides!

Daddy & Mummy came over to Perth last Wednesday, had a really romantic and quiet time with Jeannie's parents @ Margeret River for 2 nights, I spent the weekends with them and it's just not enough! Would have been perfect if Adrian was here, but really good to see them, catch up. Stayed over @ Crowne Plaza yesterday with them, me the giant lightbulb! Wished I could do it more often, been ages since I did that. Both of them are going to Sydney tomorrow, I hope they can find their way around! And then I would only have one more night with them on Thursday before I see them again after the semester! :(

Of course, I am thankful of Sean, whom fetched us all around, and me back home everyday without fail. Never fails to make me smile. And Sean's cute parents as well!

Heard of a few friends going through break-ups and it's just sad! For a moment you thought that person will be the one you love all your life, then another moment, he/she are just friends or not even friends anymore. Can't imagine that happening to me! And LDR, I am really not looking forward to it :(

And of course of course, there's the Loi family, whom I stay with everyday now. They've been a great blessing to me, especially Jeannie whom lets me have my quiet in bed every night. Uncle Loi built a study table for me, cut fruits for us every night...a lot of these things that I can't repay them.

And to my family and friends, I love them all very much! Miss them all :(

Relationships are so special, I do need to cherish them and the people I love, they are my motivation to get through everyday and I wish we will be there for one another no matter what.

Finally got the photos from Sean! My Mac is sick :c slow, laggy and I don't know how to solve it! Blue Mountains was about 2 hours away from Sydney city, the boys took turns and drove our rented Hertz car! We spent 2 days there, enjoying the quietness and scenery.

Some photos from Singapore, seems quite long ago! Kite flying with the girls @ Barrage was fun, enjoying some sun after a lot of rain, catching up and picnic-ing. Explored Marina Bay with my family, seems very touristy! Wonder how it'll look like with the shops open later on...

Job applications are so tedious, repetitive and hopeful! Hopeful that good response will come, hopeful that interviews will be offered, hopeful that I get a job by next year!

BUTTERFLIES

Finally, Thursday's here with no classes! Much better than having to wake up at 6am for Wednesday classes. Had brunch with Judy & Sean @ Mooba in Subiaco, very nice place, good 5 Senses coffee! So full from scrambled eggs + bacon on toast! Rested for a while before meeting with AIS group @ Biz School, the problem was I only know Valencia so we waited for the other 2 group mates whom we have never met. It was so funny when I called one group mate, and realised she was just standing in front of me answering my call! Thank God we had another group mate working at Coles, makes things much easier! I hope Sean's group will go well too!

Did my law tute in Reid, took a really long time! Had dinner @ Hawker's with some OCFers, was good to go out for a while! I actually went jogging yesterday! JOGGING! After a year of not doing it...East Perth is still as nice! Fresh air, clean river, very cute kids playing, I saw this lil girl chasing ducks around and being so amused! And cute puppies being walked...

Applied for IELTS for 21 August. It's like English O levels again, which I think is pointless and I wasted my $327 on it, hopefully I get a really good score! Gonna try calling Singapore companies tomorrow, I really pray for good response!

SIGH. Uni's already started but I am still in HOLIDAY MODE! I need to switch to STUDY MODE desperately, a lot more assignments & group work this last semester, not looking forward to it, am procrastinating.

Palembang was good as usual, besides the non-stop eating of really good food, I do miss Jus Alpukat, avocado juice with gula melaka, their avocadoes are really fragrant! And of course murtabak, the crispy buttery pastry with lots of keju! And many many pempeks. Hotel launch day was super tiring but enjoyable with my cute grandparents. Gong gong actually didn't like the way I combed his hair! And Ahma thought he slept for an hour when he only slept for 10 minutes! Trip was rushed but still good! Would have been perfect with Sean! Went to look at the penthouse still under construction, we were in the lift and we weren't allowed to step out cos of danger, so it was exactly like Inception! The different scenes from the lift view... hehe so cool! Behind the scenes are always fun! Sigh. I miss my family. Lunches with Mummy, shopping, driving, eating...And BB and Daddy whom I hardly see cos of study & work, my friends whom I haven't/met a lil while, there's just too much to do!

Perth, is too cold for me! Slept with 3 blankets last night, good thing Jeannie found my cloud blanket and has spare blankets! And she bought the striped shirt with a cute pocket which has a love heart on it!! I wanted to get it in Cairns, but thought it was too ex (FYI it was the shop which I lost 200 bucks at) Jeannie surprised me with one she got from Harbourtown, their new branch. So now Kristi, Jodie, Jeannie and me has the same shirt but different colours! :D

Not looking forward to doing tutes tomorrow on a Saturday, but I CANNOT COMPLAIN! I've already enjoyed my stretched holidays, time to work my ass off.

Sigh, when I thought all was well, somebody took away my 200 bucks which I only have left for this Semester :((((

HOW STUPID & CARELESS I AM!! Sean, DQ & Pz went diving so I went to DFO to shop, I left my wallet after I paid for tshirts for my bro & Jeannie, I LEFT IT THERE!!! Didn't realise until I went to other shops and heard my name called. Went to management to get my wallet back, my cash was gone :( I seriously hate myself. Cards were intact but 200 IS A LOT!!!! Probably my worst Birthday ever. :( Took a bus back with my 9 bucks coins and am rotting in the hostel, too paranoid to head out. I don't wanna lose anything else :( I'm feeling AWFUL, good thing home is only a few days away.

Sigh. Geri why can't you be more alert!

Finally, Sunday is arriving! I really can't wait, new things to see & do. Watched Shrek with OCFers on Thursday, really touching & funny! Especially CATastrophe & riDONKEYlous. Ahahaha took me a while to get it. Can't wait to watch the other movies back home, much cheaper!

Yesterday Mel PHE & Shweta came over for lunch & we painted the curtain used to cover Jeannie's & my wardobe. Very pretty! And we had Mac's @ 4pm cos we got so hungry.

Hip hop with Amanda & Lynette yesterday night @ Kings St Arts Centre, FUN FUN! We danced a routine to the song, it's no gettin' over by BEP. VERY FAST SONG! I can feel the bodyaches now but going for baddy soooon & it feels good after not working out the body for so long. Packing is such a chore! Especially when I'm gone for 2 weeks, loads of things to bring! Perth is getting way too cold, it hit 1 degree last night :( Sunny Singapore, I miss you!

But I spent today with good friends and I won't want to change anything of it :) Rachel & I were trying to figure out where Shafto Lane was (that shows how long I've not been to King's St!), we were walking up and down up and down and we finally found it! And catching Sex & the City with Amanda was last minute but it was a good movie and I liked it better than the first. I adore Charlotte's blue gown! Obviously it's not what I can afford, but I will make it myself one day! I will! The day would have been perfect with Sean around! Really hope they enjoyed Melbourne, and be safe for the roadtrip to Sydney.

I seriously seriously can't spend like this anymore, just recalled my Europe days, they were crazy too, I spent 313 euros in Vienna & Budapest, 144 euros in Venice (just for ONE day)...I need to work my ass off to pay my parents, I really don't regret any of it, I know I need to get a good job and save! Off to job applications that give you a headache and nerve-wrecking job interviews.

Went city-shopping with Rachel today, spent $$$ again :( Well, I'm pretty happy with my finds! Bought a pretty lovely flowers + pearl ring that hugs half of my finger + classic black&gold earrings from Sportsgirl, was tempted by some pretty clothes along the way. Had lunch @ Etro on Kings Street, I love Pigeonhole in Shafto Lane, a pity Sean's not here, saw loads of things that he'll like! I love their necklaces as well, but they're just too expensive! Watched When in Rome and No Reservations yesterday, When in Rome was quite disappointing! Expected more Italy scenes, there's always Nine to catch and the Heath Ledger show! I'm so sloooww :( Gonna watch Shrek 3D tomorrow with Val&Co. Excited! I love holidays!!! Esp with Sydney coming :D

EXAMS ARE OVER! Holidays are here! I really wanna finish up my Busn Prac Report fast, do up marketing case studies for my mentor then I can join Sean&Co. in Sydney on Sunday!

Management Accounting was tedious! A few MCQs that I didn't know how to do, hopefully I'll still be able to score well...Right after the paper, Sean & I went to Claremont to SHOP! Had lunch @ Rudy's, an Italian place. Quite delicious! One of the better few. We tried Osteria dei Sapori @ Broadway during exam period, not bad but too expensive for us to frequent. After a good satisfying lunch, I bought 2 lovely white tops from Kookai! 50% OFF :D Watched Wall Street with Sean after, interesting 1987 finance movie, I wanna catch the latest Wall Street: Money never dies! Shia Labeouf & his gf Carey Mulligan. And more of Gordon Gekko. Michael Douglas will still be in the 2nd one! I knew I was being irritating when I kept asking Sean all the finance jargon, what does it mean by selling this, buying that...etc. Hehe, I'm just not finance-material :( Tiamo dinner with OCF girls and World Cup @ Esther's new house :)

The past few nights have been spent watching World Cup with OCFers, I don't support any team! It's quite interesting how the goals were made. Went rock climbing @ The Hangout with Ryan, Ning, Kafunda, JD, Christina, Yiting, Val, Josh Sim, Charlene yesterday! Which left my arms aching afterwards, no more strength! Good thing they don't hurt so much today! I'm in a mood for movies! I wanna watch No Reservations again, going for Toy Story/Shrek with Val, Yiting & Abi this week :D

I vomited again on my first day of period! :( Just when I thought I filled my stomach up with brekkie, I puked all of it out! Amanda suggested I should go for a check-up since this has been with me ever since forever. I really want to stop it! Can't imagine my pregnancy days if I already wanna die now.

Shopping with Amanda for Lynette's birthday present @ Claremont. Settled for a hot pink pashmina for her! Hehe young enough to carry it off. Time flies! I was in Year 12, she just came with her sister as well, now I'm in final year and she's now Year 12! Went to her 17th @ Burswood, nice caterer Heyder & Shears for dinner!

FATP is getting on my nerves. I should be worried since I'm forcing myself to understand solutions, then do questions. Which is quite maddening. Not very assuring method of studying! Need to buck up more! BAV group assignment mark was super disappointing, back to square one- DO OR DIE in finals! Actually it applies to all my units. Esp MA with 65% worth.

STUDY BREAK BEGINS!!!

Just had early lunch with Jeannie @ Subi, it's quite sad that though we stay under one roof, we hardly have time to see each other and talk properly, quite good to see her coping well and learning from OCF! Last session on Friday, Josh Ang's testimony is interesting and humorous, can't believe I'll be like him at the end of this year, I'll be a GRADUATE! Yoohoo. No more times like this to mug and stress out. When the library is your second home.

Jodie and Aunt are here! Suddenly the house is so clean, food is taken care of and it's really nice to have some homecooked food soon! Mothers' food is always the best! So my life is kinda boring now. Eat Study Sleep Eat Study Sleep... sucha unhealthy cycle. And when the weather's perrrfect for some outdoor sports, I feel like staying @ home on a lazy Sunday afternooon. Yikes. It's ok, back for swimming in Singapore!!!! Miss the pool! Exam study breaks are quite good too. No more new things to absorb, you've got the time of your own! But it also means it's up to you to manage it well. I'm a bit inconfident, unsteady but I'm sure when it all starts, I'll get the hang of it. The thought of Singapore, home, food, holidays makes me excited! And I would have time to do some serious fashion portfolio. What more can I ask for! Plus Sydney+Cairns with my loved ones :D EXCITING!

Easter Camp was a whole week of cooking, working with Judy, Jeremy, Josiah, Raymond, Esther, Aaron, Edmen, Clem, Lincoln was great fun! Lemon pepper, thyme and rosemary are really good spices! But I haven't learn to use them well yet :(

Watched The Nanny Diaries yesterday with Jeannie last night during dinner, good movie after a while, I love the boy acting in it, so cute! Went to The Little Pantry for Brunch with Sean on Saturday, supposed to meet Ron and gang but Applecross is too far! The Little Pantry's good for sandwiches & cheap coffee! $2.50 for a cappuccino :) Bought my VOGUE @ Broadway just then & a Mothers' Day card for $8 :O I should really check the price before I go to the cashier, it always happens! Vera Wang's dresses are so preeetty! A bridal designer's job is kinda tough! I know if I be one, my ideas will run out very fast, but the fabrics you deal with are gorgeous! Hmm maybe I can start by making bridesmaids' dresses :D

School's been so fast! Mid-sem break is coming up, assignments due soon, Easter Camp next week, Sean goes diving with 11 other friends, cramming for BAV, figuring out how to start projects.

Baddy was FUN! 4 rounds of games with other OCFers, the hall was too slippery so we hadta play without shoes, being 2nd was a pleasant surprise! I still wanna play more!

Ciao Italia wasn't open yesterday! Sean and I went Catalona's @ Vict Park instead, the Marinara I had was good, sweet + garlic + seafood! Management Accounting mid sem was alright, not too confident with it, but manageable. Hopefully BAV will be alright!

Lunch with Amanda on Saturday went well! Spanish + Japanese weren't open, but we passed by The Little Pantry and decided to try it, I thought it was good, the beef fillet sandwich was a bit tangy and sweet, nice flavour! Photos up sooooon.

FATP seminar tomorrow, I want a good score for my test! I have been the lousy one in my team :(

The week has been alright, busy studying for management accounting mid-semester. FAST! Mid-sem coming soon, Easter camp, then BAV mid sem, 3 assignments then HOLIDAY!

My brother's in China, good thing it isn't that cold over there. It's confirmed- Sydney & Cairns this June/July with Sean, PeiZhou, Julia, DQ! I hope Mummy can come find me the remaining holidays and cook yum yum food for us :)

Convos this week, the past two days were Arts and Econs, tonight's Commerce. Next year this time, it'll be my turn! And my grandparents, parents will be here too :) Then will I be missing Perth if I work in Singapore, a whole week of Perth's best.

Interview next week, it's my first! Nervous, worried, I don't know what to expect. I stupidly put my Milan and Singapore number in my resume, and the WRONG Aussie number on my cover letter. Damn. See how muddle-headed I am, first putting the wrong address for my Melbourne Uni application and now this. So instead of them calling me to arrange a time, I had to call them instead. Plus life without internet is way hard! Can't check emails, can't chat, can't look at pretty photos... I guess that's why people with BBs are so happy, so convenient, BBing other fellow BB users. Good thing for free Thursdays when I can do more things and sleep more :)

Had lunch with my tutee yesterday, she failed her Sem 1 physics and 60% for her Sem 2 exam, :( I'm so lousssy! But I'm happy she's in UWA now doing engineering!

Sean and I went to Lambretta along Hampden for lunch one day, we found out the owner was from Naples! Pizza wasn't that good, pasta was not bad. We miss Italy! and Europe. Where good European cuisine is, where good fashion is, where you can speak Italian!

School's been alright, I've loads of free time this week! Which means I can do my portfolio! I've started it already, not very satisfied with it, but hopefully I 'll get better as I do more designs. Finished 2, 10 more to go, with loads of other accessories as well :) If only there's this special sketchbook that will bring your designs to life and you can wear it in a split second! How nice would that be!

Sean's car is making funny noises :( Hope it's not a major problem. His major servicing cost 700 bucks! :O Went to Ofiiceworks to print my research photos, if only there were cheap mama shops here that have good printers, it'll definitely be much cheaper than the $1.30 per page I paid. Baba Black twice this week, once with Sean, their Benedict is getting lousier! No more fresh bread, but their sandwich with bacon, cheese and tomato wasnt too bad, had it with Judy, Joel, Siumin, Chris, Sean and Abi! More brunch places to explore in Perth, which means $$$ and FATSSSS but I still love it! It makes your day much more enjoyable, it is true when they say a good breakfast is a good start!

I seriously hope financial accounting theory & practice will get easier. I got 3/10 for my first test, our group got 22/40 for the team one :( :( Good thing it was made void, I hope this week's easier!

Perth is so freaking hot! I have to drink water almost every 5 minutes to quench my thirst.

Been feeling really tired, gloomy ever since I got back. I'm sure everything will be alright when uni starts tomorrow and I can clear my head a bit. Thank goodness for Sean, Vikki who has been updating me with what's happening.

Last few days in Singapore wasn't too bad, I quite miss it. No more working! Really appreciate my studying life, the waking hours are much reasonable! On Thursday, our manager treated us to Josh & Joey's! Loved the mushroom soup and dory fish. Friday, client treated us to the jap place @ M hotel. Very authentic, I love bentos! Had cod fish :D Miss having meals with my family :( And I should have met up with more people !

Flight was quite good, watched Love Happens & The Notebook, didn't finish the Notebook though, no time! Need to finish it online one day. Spent the whole day yesterday packing the house, my clothes, my rubbish and washed car with Sean! Really much more convenient now, but comes with a price! At least now I don't need to tompang other people.

Excited to settle down soon, excited to hurry finish and ace the assignments and exams, excited to go cycling when the weather cools, excited to do new things with Sean, excited to meet up with old friends!

There were fireworks just then!!! Very very pretttttty! Much more variety than Singapore's.

Had CPA exhibition and internship recognition event today, was around orchard the whole day! Had lunch with Sean, shopped around with Giselle too! Haii i need to really think about my career path! fashion/marketing/auditing...how do i get around to fashion finally???

Today i found out from daddy the security guard who's seen me grown up ever since i was born passed away because of cancer :( he used to recognise me whenever i go gyming regularly (way in the past), say that i'm all grown up whenever i see him around.

sigh. I think I am the most unhealthy girl ever! everyday I reach office at 0900, sit on the office chair and stare at excel, numbers, go for lunch at 1200, come back to office and sit again. Friday and weekends are spent with loved ones. Last friday was drinking with Sean @dempsey, Saturday @ion with Yuhui & Vivian, movie it's complicated, birthday party with Sean's friends. Today was spent @church in the morning, lunch with family, sewing with aunty tuti. My bum hours are definitely 3/4 or more of my week.
There's no exercise in my life! :(

On a lighter note, I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!! on friday! :D It was the first day I woke up on time straight after my alarm went off, warm-up lesson with Tony was disastrous. Reverse, parallel parking failed, I needed to drive out and adjust so many times. And it was my 1st time driving in the rain! Waiting for your name to be called at the test waiting area was painful! But my tester was nice, he gave me friendly reminders! Mum wanted to let me drive back home from granny's cos traffic wasn't too heavy, but I forgot to bring along my P plate :(

I realised I haven't been a good girlfriend, friend, daughter, god-daughter, sister. Everyday I come home from work feeling exhausted, even if I spend time with my loved ones, I still miss them when I don't see them :( My granny's been concerning me a lot, feeding me with more indon food, asking about work. Daddy misses seeing me at home, Mummy and Sean keeps asking me to rest more, Sean still meets up with me even though he's busy, my brother kept me company watching me sew today. Loads of people asked why I wanna start sth so difficult like sewing and cutting cloth to make clothes, they think I'm wasting my time. It's so hard to prove to people that you can succeed in sth when you are still struggling with it :(

How I wish I was back to Milan days, travelling around worry-free with friends, experiencing different places, people and fashion!

Let's hope work's not too tiring this week!

had dinner @ city square mall, a jap food court. caught up, watched interesting video moves of korean bands by xiangli! took photos, a pity the neoprint machine was down!

PwC work is tiring! waking up early is sucha chore! esp squeezing in the train to get to raffles place, not fun at all. and staring at the laptop for the whole day damages my eyes! 7 more weeks to go. made a couple of new friends, learnt new things, a least these make my experience a whole lot better :D

watched Hear Me ytday with sean. a small taiwan-drama like movie. I LOVE THE WEEKENDS! no need to report work, get to spend it with the people you love!

I need my dose of frankie, gonna get it from kino soon!

Gotta go for driving now! circuit today, dont really like it, i feel very restricted cos it's so small!

Koh Samui was fun, hot, pretty, beachy. Every night there were random huge paper lanterns floating up up up, different fireworks lit up the sky, some small, some glittery and colourful!

Sight-seeing on my first day. Around Koh Samui, we saw the Buddha, the Mummified Monk with Raybans! the sea view and shopping! cheap cheap bargains. The whole family went down to the beach and sea to swim, take photos, we even dunked Aunty Tuti! Kayaking for a while! Very clear and shallow waters! Even when you're far away from the shore. Celebration of Ahma's birthday on Christmas night with dinner @ Amari's breakfast place. Very romantic atmosphere with all the orchids and candles.

Manicure & pedicure early morning the next day! Went shopping with Mummy & Godma down the street just outside our hotel, had lunch at this very green place, pineapple rice in a pineapple! Yoga class with a male instructor from the UK. Nope he doesn't have long hair like the usual yoga teachers! He called Caren Pinky haha. It was a really good stretch for all our bodies, trying to sweep away mozzies at the same time. Dinner @ Prego, the Italian restaurant under the hotel, open air concept, very popular with the Westerners. But risotto sucks according to my Godbro, pizza's not bad but not as crispy as Milan's!

Early day to go snorkeling! The 45 minutes speed boat ride wasn't as bumpy as the journey back. Adrian was bouncing like a ping pong ball, he hurt his bum! Reached some caves in the middle of an ocean, put on our lifejackets and got our snorkeling equipment ready. Quite easy! Just have to get used to breathing through your mouth. Everybody went down except Aunty Tuti & Henny, they were busy feeding fishes so that they can swim to us. And poor Hendra got bitten on the ear! Saw very pretty corals, sea urchins, nemo fish, swordfish, stingray!

Had seafood dinner @ Fishermens' Village. Very touristy, but had loads of nice little stalls selling handicrafts. Abit like Christmas market but of course, cheaper!

The beach is always nice to hang out. And tan! My next destination: Maldives for my honeymoon! :D

Had apperitivo @Slice with Vivian, Carrie, Huishan, Dione and Sean yesterday. Snowing all the way last night. All of them were throwing snowballs, making snow everywhere, freezing cold! Dione even had frostbites! Sean & Vivian made snow angels! Pretty! Studying wasn't productive, feeling complacent for the last paper! :(
Bought a Gucci wallet for Ahma, Gucci handbag for Mummy, what she wanted! The cashier must have thought I was crazy going to the boutique twice & with loads of cash too.

I hope the snow doesn't delay our flight on wednesday! Travelling's quite screwd up everywhere in Europe with the heavy snow. And that tax refund won't take too long.

Everytime I need a laugh or I miss Kellie, I will look at these photos! So cute and adorable! She borrowed my beret and started posing for the camera and everytime a photo is taken she'll say 'show!' Cheeky Kellie knows English but everytime we ask her something in English she'll reply in German. And when Mummy asks her why she doesn't wanna speak English, she'll say 'I can-NOT!"

I miss all three of them loads! Especially when you mug for exams and there aren't kids to play with anymore after Luzern, so quiet and not fun :(
Can't wait to get back to Perth to Sunday School again, but I'm pretty sure some of the kids have grown to be Builders, I still wanna work with KneeHighs though! Joshua, Alisabeth, Emma, Amy, Mia, Tia, Siena, Gianna...hopefully they're not that naughty and run around all the time! I love to see them playing with playdough and they're make anything from a snail to a cake. And ask you to eat it. Nom nom.

ONE MORE PAPER LEFT!

Quite drama nowadays.
1st. British Airways cabin crew threatens strike from 22nd December- 2nd January. That's Christmas AND New Year. A pity some of the exchange students had to reschedule flights in order to get back home. And today there's news that Eurostar British drivers are joining as well, so not only planes can't fly, trains can't go choo choo too! :(

2nd. Bomb partially exploded in Bocconi at 3 am yesterday, when I had an exam at 4.30 pm. The school's still open. Apparently it was located in the underground passageway from the Main Building to the Masters Hostel. It had 2 kg of dynamite. Good thing it partially exploded. If not I don't think the hostel's still intact. Some of my friends are writing to complain why we still have exams and why the school's still open!

3rd. I've been having really bad dreams these days! Getting into a car accident while returning to home in Singapore, following random dancers with scary wigs, being in a train ride with my family (returning to Singapore from Switzerland), the train was open air! No doors and windows, so scary! And the most recent one was staring at snow droplets outside by my hostel balcony door then it suddenly rained really heavily til it drenched my laundry just by the door.

I need sweet dreams!
Went to Esselunga to get groceries, I think it'll be the last trip til I go back home! YOOHOO> which means home is near!

EXAMS TOMORROW! yikes.

Corporate Finance and Financial Markets & Institutions. one @0830, the other @1030. Which means I have to get up at 0645. SO EARLY! :( the sky's not even lit up at that time. And it's freeeezing cold, was supposed to snow yesterday, didn't. :) I don't wanna walk to school, I need the trams to work! I think I'm alright with the 2 units tomorrow, just not Project Financa or Monetary Econs and the last Equity Portfolio Management on 22nd Dec. Been packing and making my room neat yesterday instead of mugging, deciding what kinda stuff to leave or throw once I head back home. Too much junk. And money losses. I spent 8 euros on my ELLE magazine, one of the rarest english magazines in Milan and I have to throw it away :(

I've been getting hungry much more frequent than ever, thanks to the inefficient heating system in this hostel. Watching House, Monk & Entourage. Decided to stick with House in the end. Still waiting for Lie to Me online!

Luzern was great as usual! Even better when we get to play more with the kids this time round. Piles of snow freaked us out before reaching Luzern! But Luzern didn't have that much snow. It was freeeezing though!

Checked out christmas market in their village the night we reached. Very pretty with loads of christmas goods and crafts! My toes were freezing and numb :X
Daniel drove us to Freiburg the next morning, drizzling but had fun exploring the christmas market, eating huge sausage buns, white chocolate coated strawberries and milk choc-coated banana. Sorta like pasar malam with much prettier and xmasy stalls! Went departmental store-hopping (the TOYS section) after to search for the kids' christmas presents cos Germany has cheaper and more toys. Only Kellie got her playmobil doll house but Sean decided to surprise the kids by getting them smaller toys they picked before, Hello Kitty for Kellie ( she was so surprised when she saw it!) Lion figurine for Kevin and a Camping set for Damien. It's quite fascinating to see what toys can do to children. The big smiles on their faces, so cute!

Off to some cafe to have coffee&cake before heading back home. I had some cherry crumble, interesting! Haven't had crumbles since I don't know when, the cappuccino lost to Italy's though. I'm gonna miss it when I go back home. Dropped by Toys'R US to search for christmas presents again. Kevin got his one this time, Lego Indiana Jones set. Damien's Lego Car Mechanic Shop was sold out! Headed to the humongous supermarket beside Toys'R US to get some ham & cheese & bread. Long drive back home!

The next day was SNOW DAY! Packed the bobsleds, wore some ski gear, and drove upwards near the mountains, where tons of snow are all around. The kids were all so excited when they played with snow! Kellie had fever so she wasn't that jumpy, played snow with her while her brothers went up and down the hill. Kristine then suggested making an igloo, Kevin & Sean came to help us roll a giant snowball so that we can dig a hole for the igloo's opening. Tough work! My gloves were thoroughly wet after. COLD! Had lunch somewhere nearby, I had rosti with bacon&eggs! Yum. The appetizer was deer liver, quite interesting.

Damien & Kevin went to school @ 5pm, to get ready for the Lantern March. The whole point was to march to the forest to get Santa out from there, and march him to the town, in the village, they just marched to the Cathedral. Interesting event, the kids from kindy to secondary school all participated so it was quite big. They all made their own lanterns, all different and pretty at night with the candles burning. Santa was a bit freaky, he's dressed like a Pope. I heard that he gives mandarins and peanuts, no presents. If you invite him to your place, he will lecture your children. Kristine was like she's never gonna do that for her kids! Santa has Black helpers, who will capture bad kids! Their village's very cosy, with very pretty christmas decors all over the balconies.

Kristine cooked chicken curry for lunch the next day and we went indoors to the shopping centre cos it was raining the whole day! I searched for my knee-high boots @ H&M, Bata, Votele. Votele had them but they were so squeezy and uncomfortable. Plus I need $$ to invest in some good workwear and heels so no more boots for me! :(
Sean & I shopped @ coop, bought some apple muesli, swiss choc biscuits and gummies. Daniel dropped us off at the train station and we said our goodbyes. :( Damien was having a fever so they had to return home early. Bought some pretzels for the train ride back to Milan and good thing we took the train 2 hours earlier cos it was freezing outside. I hope Milan won't have snow next week!!! I eed the tram to take me to school for exams!

I wonder when will I see the Schaads again, hopefully sometime soon and not like 10 years later.
I wonder how the kids are like when they're grown up, they've got really strong personalities! And Kellie's just 3 but already she knows German, Swiss-German and English. And she can't wait to go to school like her brothers!

First meal- I had trout! cooked in Czech style, a bit fried with garlic, definitely satisfied my fish craving!

Met Elizabeth in the airport, almost missed our flight! Took us 2 hours to get there. Easyjet is as crowded as always, people kept squeezing their way through when it wasn't their turn to board yet!

Had difficulties finding the hotel since we don't have a map. But Hotel Athena Palace was nice and cosy with a very sleep-inducing bed. Had lunch and walked to the Dancing Building first, then headed to the Old Town Square to look for the Clock, passed by Charles Bridge, under renovation. The river view was so pretty and dreamy! Especially the castle with all the seagulls and birds flying around. Was already dark when we reached Wenceslas Square, there was a 7-storey Bata! Visited the store in Switzerland, definitely nicer than the Singapore ones, and am sure they're not known as the store with school shoes here. Was too full for dinner, so we had pancakes and crepes and beer! Pancakes were too oily, they're the savoury kind, abit like nian gao!

Breakfast was yum at the hotel, traditional Czech desserts, cold cheeses, liver, hams and yoghurt. Loved the scrambled eggs! Off to Charles Bridge then the Castle. Had this bread roll snack coated with cinnamon, like the one we had in Budapest. And a cup of Starbucks caramel macchiato. After so so so long! St. Vitus Cathedral in the castle was humongous! There was a bridge especially linked to the castle for the royalties to enter. Not a very pretty Castle, besides the interesting land rolls office with the different Harry Potter-like emblems painted all over the ceiling and walls. Visited Golden Lane, very colourful with small houses selling crafts and puppets. Explored the prison and walked back to the Old Town Square again. Had a good roast duck for dinner with Czech dumplings, abit like kong ba bao!

Morning was very very foggy! and COLD. Found the Zizkov Tower, and went back to the City and back to hotel to rest before heading to the airport!

Prague was lovely, people not that friendly but they know English, the sights were pretty and romantic :)

I think we will all turn into snowmen.

Just tried packing my huge luggage for home, half empty! I'm sure when I put in my 3 shoes, it'll be just nice. But I haven't even tried putting my 13 crystal balls in yet :X

Travel means more work to do when I come back! One more week to exams, yikes.

I GOT A PWC AUDITING INTERNSHIP!
Finally after hundreds and thousands of different marketing, auditing applications!
I can't wait to get my hands on some proper perfect heels and sleek workwear!

I feel like sucha lazy bum bum!

10 am: Wasn't quite a good sleep cos the party animals came back at 6 am, making loads of noise in the corridor. I stupidly hung my roomie's 21st birthday present on her door handle. When she opened her door at 7 am, BOOM! The florentines and christmas tea dropped on the floor. Hahaha. Silly me.
10.30 am: Microwaved soft boiled eggs for brekkie. Checked school mail, gmail, hotmail, sean's mails, fb, blogs.
11.00 am: Chatted with mummy on msn.
11.41 am: Went to Esselunga to get groceries and instant lunch: their roast chicken & potatoes. A woman in front of me paid 240 euros for her groceries! Oh my gosh. Her trolley was overflowing.
12.30: Loaded Project Runway season 3, didn't work! Ate lunch, Hu messaged me online suddenly, caught up, talked about shoes and clothes...she's been drawing a lot of shoes! :D getting closer to our boutique, uh huh uh huh.
15.00: Attempt to complete Monetary Econs exam qns while playing Sean's Cafeworld.
18.00: Prepared stir fry noodles for dinner.
20.00: Talked to Sean who's in Rome!
21.00: Half-hearted at doing Corporate Finance, not really focusing. :(

So you see why I'm a lazy bum, I spent 3/4 of my day on my chair in front of the laptop, minus the leg lifting in the toilet in an attempt to lose weight. Heh.
And I'm gonna spend the next 7 hours sleeping on my bed.

Can't wait for roomie's 21st birthday tomorrow! Having apperitivos for dinner, been so long since I've attended a birthday party!

Naples

Evening flight to Napoli, our Bellacapri hostel owner was really kind and helpful, very colourful hostel right next to the port! Had dinner @ Poiseidone, one of those touristy restaurants, not expensive at all plus we had a 10% discount from our hostel :D Pizza was really interesting! Naples is the original place for pizza, and their traditional pizza is not the usual ones we eat, it's kinda wet, the dough is quite chewy! After dinner, we took a long walk back to the hostel and rested for the night.

Capri

Took a ferry to Capri in the morning after having nutella-stuffed doughnut for brekkie. Capri is beautiful! It's the most friendly, most pretty island of Italy I've seen so far. Almost every local who walked past us said Buongiorno! to us. And not everyone smokes. So un-Italy. Driving here is crazy! The road is one lane most of the time, so cars have to know how to stop and give way. But they drive at high speeds, it's so dangerous! They pass each other with less than an inch distance between them. Buses here are like mini boxes, to counter 360 degrees turns upslope the island. Walked a long way into the residential area, loads of landed property built on the hill. Finally found our hotel! It's really nice and cool! It's actually just a normal house but the owner converted 4 rooms in her basement into nice little rooms. And all she has to do is clean them up, offer some tea and brekkie. Very modern Italian place! Capri is the perfect place to chill out and enjoy the sun.

After our short tea break, we started with Church of San Michele, Casa Rossa and the chair lift which is so cute! Individual chairs bring us up to the top of the hill where we can see amazing views of Anacapri & Capri. Headed to Capri to take a look at a garden designed by a German, tried to catch the sunset but we stupidly forgot that our hotel has the perfect sunset view :(

Walked for an hour to the Blue Grotto early next morning to try our luck. It was closed the previous day cos of rough seas. And our efforts paid off! It was open! It's a really big cave with a tiny entrance. And we had to lie down on the rowing boat to get inside. It's BEAUTIFUL! There's no light but the water is a gorgeous bright blue with different shades. Something to do with refraction. And our rower sang songs for us!

& Naples

Back to Naples to catch a flight back to Milan, visited the shopping street, Corso Umberto, tried to find cheap knee-high boots, no size of mine :( Naples is known for its clever pickpockets so we were on our guard at all times! Quite a lot of dodgy people when we walked past the run-down residential area. Found a good pizza place! Sorbillo, but after lunch, we found out there were three places that had the same name. So we're not very sure which is the true blue Sorbillo. Tried the famous BaBa, this sponge cake dessert soaked in rum and honey. a bit too sweet for my liking.

Really loved Capri, and we found out from the owner that Keanu Reeves' house was just two houses away from us. Lovely!

Back to more assignments in Bocconi. :(

Our Nikiair flight was superb! It wasn't crowded, it had lovely leather seats and complimentary sandwich & drinks. I guess that's why we paid 59 euros per person!

Morning in Vienna: COLD COLD COLD! My nose was running, fingers and toes were numb despite attempts @ wearing gloves and thick socks + boots. Wombats' hostel is impressive! It's got facilities and a private toilet for the dorms so we could take our time and have a good night rest. Vienna is surprisingly quite modern! I love the feel of it, not too messy like Singapore, the cafes have a very neat & modern atmosphere, the shops remind me of Switzerland! Walked all the way to Hofburg, took photos with the lovely trees, posed with baby statues, shopping street, Vienna State Opera, City Hall which was under decoration process for the Christmas market, can imagine how beautiful it'll be! There were angels hanging off trees, a huge Christmas tree right in the centre of the market, and shopkeepers displaying their Christmas goods! Had the world's famous chocolate cake: Cafe Sacher's original Sacher Torte. It's dark choc sponge with apricot jam so it had a bit of sour taste, not the usual chocolate cake!

Passed by the parliament, saw loads of horse carriages, some really pretty ones like Cinderella's coach! Had dinner @ 1516 Brewing Company which had good ale, nice schnitzel. One thing I hate about Vienna: people smoking indoors! EVERYBODY SMOKES INDOORS. Goodness, they should really start banning it.

The next morning was short, visit to the Holocaust Memorial & Synagogue Museum. The Holocaust memorial was quite scary, it looked like a gas chamber, with proper doors in front of a modern box outta rock. It's sad looking at those dried flowers lying there along with melted candles. The Synagogue Museum contained loads of Jewish drawings during the Nazi period, how they were treated and the actual site of the Vienna Synagogue that was destroyed. They conserved the foundations & tiles left. Went to the famous hotdog stand near the State Opera for lunch, slowly walked back to our hostel and took train to Budapest late afternoon.

Budapest

Our first dinner was yummy and so worth it! I had duck after a long long time and their sweet dumplings is very much like a chocolate tiramisu, very nice place for dinner! There were onions and garlics hanging everywhere, and lace embroideries framed up on the walls.

Budapest's very medieval yet with a modern twist! The Loft Hostel was great with loads of people but not for light-sleepers like me! They drink til late at night and sleep in the morning! Headed to The Great Market for breakfast, there were veggies, meat, paprika, strudels, croissants, handicrafts, eggs decorated with paint, russian dolls...Very huge indoors market! Crossed the bridge to Buda. Started with the Gellert Hill, hiked up to the top where the angel with the leaf was, tried looking for Hungarian baths which were like hotsprings, but decided to do them later, went to Castle Hill, Buda Castle, Labyrinth (scary underground hunting carvings and sculptures). Had tea @Ruzwurst, the oldest cafe in Budapest. Their cream cake had too much cream though it was a good tea with nice coffee :D

Crossed another bridge to Pest, took nice photos of the Parliament and shoes along Danube River that commemorated the Jews. Very very sad! The metal shoes were tattered & torn, with flowers and candles by their side. Went to the Basilica next, and it was already dark by 4pm! :(

had gelato at this lovely pretty shop, found the Synagogue which is HUGE! It's decorated by the 6 sided star, the Jewish symbol, very tall with a garden inside. Walked along their shopping street, I got a beanie! Love it :D Had our last meal in Budapest @ another Hungarian restaurant. I had chicken in broccoli sauce. Was tasty but a bit too salty. Hung around our hostel, rested, then headed off to airport for our cheap 6 am wizzair flight back to milan!

Today school was boring! Seriously, mid terms felt like final exams and I have no mood for study anymore, yet I still have a Corporate finance case study 2, International Project finance Assignment before final exams!!!! GOODNESS, why can't we just study. And im leaving for Naples & Capri on thursday! No time! I heard Naples is quite dodgy with the mafia and all, pray for Sean & I!

Wedding Planner VS Fashion Designer

A wedding planner is much more feasible and practical in Singapore, all you need are contacts and talent to create new things that couples would love, find pretty flowers, pretty cupcakes and pretty venues! It would be cool to work with couples who want something out there, like a goth wedding, quite interesting!

A fashion designer, unless I am really deemed on setting up an online store first while working part-time in case all else fails, and then if the Singapore market is good, rent a shop! And I have Hu Wen to plan all these with :D But a part of me wants to study in a fashion school in NY and see how it goes, the environment is very conducive to get inspired. Plus it would be helpful to find my own style as a designer.

Meanwhile, let me search for alternatives that I can do after I graduate next year.

Just finished doing Financial Markets questions for Monday's exam. Monetary Economics is sucha bother! But at least our lecturer gave us 60 questions to work on, out of which 4 will be in the exam. That's a probability of 1/15. Bleah.

I've been giving myself tons of breaks like facebooking, walking to the vending machine to buy corn chips/chocolate/ cappuccino/moccaccino (I should stop doing it), flipping through designers' book, my new ELLE magazine... not good! And, Sean & I watched Alfie yesterday night. I want to watch What a Girl wants again!

It's good that I haven't been out but staying in to mug, apart from the visits to Esselunga. Cooked salmon, asparagus and potato&egg stir-fry. I miss crispy salmon skin! With tons of Jap terriyaki sauce. I must visit the Robertson Quay Jap Restaurant when I get back. Cooking here has been quite a headache! No space, not enough utensils, no oven! Will definitely appreciate the East Perth kitchen more.

Everybody's moving out of Curriehall! Josh Sim, Raymond, Justin, Yan Yan... Curriehall will be quite empty esp with the graduates already back home! Actually OCF would have some of the new people from Currie, and might be younger than me :D More topics to talk about hehe. Kristi moved to Vic Park! I thought she will move to the apartment 5 doors down our corridor...At least now there're more homes to visit :D EXCITING! And Murdoch people are moving to East Perth so there're definitely more people to hang around with! Sean will be moving to Broadway and there's even more people to get to know!

I was in the pantry when my roomie told me Corporate Finance results were out. It's so hilarious I didn't know that! When I've seen it popping in my face logging into agenda. I hope it's out of 35! Then I'll have 88%! Sucha good way to motivate me to study well in UWA.

First of all, I am glad that I saw your hand reaching for his wallet when he just took out his hp.Second, I am very very very pissed off when YOU KICKED MY BUTT IN PUBLIC WHEN YOU RE IN THE WRONG! COME ON, that's just idiotic. If you hadn't walk away fast, I would have kicked your balls. And you even had the cheek to laugh away with your friends after what you've done. LOWLY CREATURES. I've never been so humiliated and angry before in public. If you're looking for thrills, go do cliff jumping or whatever. If you're begging for money, at least do it sincerely. Kicking a girl whom you've never seen before in your life is sucha despicable act.

I pray that you will not waste your life but work your ass off to get money yourself instead of inflicting pain and loss on people by pickpocketing and using violence when you can't get what you want. TOO BAD you couldn't get your hands on my bf's wallet. I lost all my respect for you, you're obviously not a gentleman.

sweet distraction

Lovely dresses! I think they're vintage without losing that modern edge. I would do some alterations on them if I own them, but they're so expensive! I shopped yesterday :X

Bought a hand-made felt + checkered fabric ring. Very unique! The head-bands are nice too, just a bit too complicated. But they are all very girl-ish and pretty! Bought a printed skirt from H&M, 50% off! very flowy and has tree branches-like prints on navy blue chiffon like fabric.

I'm looking out for big chunky ruby rings, yet pearl ones are nice too! Those embedded on old gold, quite vintage. Of course the the ring has to be quite petite, chunky will be quite in the face.

I wanna make my own gown! Out of the grey satin and chiffon I bought from Palembang. The seamstress was too busy to accept my request. Can't wait to go back to Singapore and start on it.

Being crazy after prayer meet in Currie.

Mugging Day 1
Productivity was alright, 3 chapters of Corporate Finance done and a few teeny bit of Monetary Economics. Sean left for the Bergamo airport at 8am for a 2 pm flight because of a general strike in Italy. Apparently all the trams & trains aren't working except from 6-8.45am and 6-8pm. which means everybody's lives got disrupted! After lunch I got a message from him saying his flight is cancelled! Oh gosh, getting to & fro the airport from Centrale station = 9 euros X 2
And a whole lot of time spent clarifying how to refund. My room-mate says this kinda strikes will happen quite occasionally, not surprised if we have to walk to uni someday!

Received snailmail from Judy yesterday! Hand-made an envelope from 10 Corso Como paper bag and sent it off today. I should have collected stamps while I was young, and use them to make it into an art-piece! Am collecting shoes from magazines now, just to learn how to draw them properly. But I think clothes are a big challenge to master them anyway, plus I need to brush up on fabrics knowledge!

So since Sean didn't make it for Brussels, we're off to Via Torino tomorrow! Seriously I'm sick of my own cooked food, I yearn for some good cafe stuff that we usually have in Perth. It's freaking scarce here! And I haven't even made it to a fresh produce market yet, the one close to our hostel. My favourite salmon is very expensive in restaurants! we reached the second town vernanzza!

looks like somebody gave up hiking!

Cinque Terre (five villages) by the coast in Italy was prettty! With pebble beaches and humongous rocks, wheat terraces and the beautiful sun! The first hike from Monterosso was tiring with many many steps and tiny paths, uneven treks and many people trying to go two ways. We took a break at Vernanzza, the second town, had pizzas for lunch by the river filled with people swimming and little paddle boats. Very colourful town, reminded me of Como! Had a good rest and started on the 2nd trek to the third one. It was very difficult after the rest! We lost our momentum, got it back after a while, more steps and uneven roads!

A good thing the rest of the trek to the fifth town was on flat ground! There were quite many people tanning and swimming in the clear waters, very blue. Sean & I sealed a lock at the love town, very interesting! There were hair ties, tree leaves, all sorts of locks everywhere even on benches!

Had crepes for snacks at the last town before heading back to Milan to have Mac's for dinner. Met up with Ryan who just came back from Brussels, his chocolate factory tour sounded exciting! Imagine having a taste of chocolates served to the Royal Family, goodness! Talking about chocolate, the Milan hot chocolate is literally chocolate! I ordered a cup today, could only finish half of it! Dione reminded me of Max Brenner's in Melbourne, I should have tried it when I was there with Mummy :(

Sean's leaving for Brussels tomorrow! That means I will be online more often than ever, trying to study for corporate finance mid sem next tuesday, gosh time flies!

I seriously hope I can get an internship this holidays!!! Really really need it badly.

My heater in the room is pathetic! My room's still cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

spent our 365-th day together @ jap place in lido, the metro is sucha loopy way of getting there, my dream of a sashimi buffet came true! not buffet but at least I taste some sashimi :D I've been having crazy dreams nowadays, a theme park flume ride, exploring dodgy/sketchy places...

Huwen just told me via email she's interested in designing shoes and maybe we can set up a retail fashion boutique together, got me so excited! Milan's getting so cold, it's crazy! Like aussie winter here when it's not even winter yet! OH NO

Last weekend spent in Luzern was tiring but fun! Enjoyed meeting Sean's cousin, Kristine and her family, Daniel the daddy and the three little kids!

Sean and I had a curry sausage once we arrived by train, the weather's very very cold and we were so unprepared! Searched for a sweater for him and bought colourful envelopes for the kids, pink, blue and green. Walked around the shops first because they close at 4 and don't open on Sunday. Kristine works in a gift shop on weekends in the city, so Daniel looks after the 3 kids. Went up to the city walls with them, they're very energetic! Throwing stones at each other, playing catching, racing...

Headed to Luna Park after, a funfair for the school holidays, the first day! The kids went on a roller coaster ride while Sean and I chose this claw ride, the scary one that rotates and goes like a pirate ship. The pressure was over-whelming! Had Swiss dinner with the family, along with a folklore music show! The Swiss lady showed off her yoodling skills while Sean and I shared some rosti with bacon and egg. The drive home was 20 min from the city, right in the countryside area. Very cosy 3-storey modern apartment filled with colourful Ikea furniture and brightly coloured walls! The kids showed off their favourite toys a mummy rushed them to sleep.

Watched German Spongebob with the kids in the morning. Had a stroll in the countryside after brekkie! Passed by little kittens, big moo moos with noisy bells, stinky piggggies and dried corn fields. Walked through the jungle with the kids fighting with giant sticks. Kellie's so cheeky! At 3, she already knows how to speak English and German but she refuses to speak English because she knew we only know English! She picked some flowers for mummy! Sweeet.

Short weekend but Luzern was worth the visit, much livlier than the other Swiss places we went plus the kids were ADORABLE! If only I ll have a daughter like Kellie :)

haha finished gossip girl s2 last night, watching s3 tonight! Loads of people are not in now, all went to oktoberfest! Spent 2 hours on a corporate finance assignment last night, I should be glad it's cope-able so far! But it zoomed past 5 chapters just in two weeks!

Fashion week in milan started already! I was really lucky to be in a show last year, it's really difficult to get one unless you re like a fashion student or is high in society. I'll just hang around the city centre, take a look at the calender and see what open events they have! Even then they'll still be local brands. I'm meeting Clara soon! exciting...Looking for dress-making classes, reading up online, I need to do the same for auditing too!

I can't sleep half the day off tomorrow!

I think last friday was the first friday night out in milano for me and sean! I finished some readings for financial markets and institutions, headed to sihui/lijun/serene/eugene's place to book our trip to vienna and budapest in november! Took us ages to find the apartment near the grand canal, had some yummy gelato, nocciola (hazelnut) and fragola!(strawberry) stayed for their mini party which they invited some hongkongers, italians, brazilian and the remaining singaporeans: me sean and joshua! very cosy house, decorated with mainly white/old furniture and pink and blue curtains, very pretty! and they have a big kitchen WITH A RICECOOKER! and their cooking is so so good! i havent had home-cooked fried rice, spicy seafood and brinjal with minced meat for very long, just like sg food! :D drank loads of wine which led to my major headache after! :( talked to most of them, laughed at the funny hongkongers, it's qute brave of them to travel hobo-ly in europe! i wished i knew some canto/teochew/hokkien, at least when people talk, I'll understand them! haven't had gatherings like this for ages, esp when there's no ocf here :( at least they make us feel like home and it was a good time to know other people, where they travelled and know more about smu itself!

Came back from venice yesterday, gondola experience was awesome! this little country is definitely worth visiting, plus the three islands: Murano, Burano, Toscello. Glass-making and lace embroidery is so cool! Bought a few masks and glass jewellery for my grandma! :D

am not very excited for 2nd week of school :(

first week wasn't bad minus the random times we couldn't find our classrooms, generally, the learning environment is newer than uwa's, lecturers are more story-telling type, which i can understand better, but some lecturers kept asking questions which was quite disruptive! I'm excited to meet clara next sunday! which means fashion week is coming :D been looking at the london collections, a lot more colours and prints!

FLORENCE PISA SIENA!

besides getting 3 crystal balls, we took loads and loads of photos! quite a last minute trip actually, planned it with carrie kaitlyn kotie and vivian the day before we left, found a good and cheap hostel Riverbank (but had MAJOR difficulties finding its location) 28 euros for two nights! super cheap, 6 beds in one room, with three bathrooms for all to share. not that bad. the bus stopped us in the middle of the road so we had to take another bus to the city of florence! it was a good experience exploring places, trying the best gelato in the world, it's so expensive! but it's worth it cos it's so fresh!

market shopping in florence IS SO WORTH IT! sean got all that he wanted, belt, shoes, folio. i got a leather wallet for 17 euros = 34 sing! and 3 glass rings for 8 euros, the one i saw in como and rome was all 15 euros each! lucky i didnt buy them first. finished the day with a supper @yellow bar. steak and insalata, tiramisu to end it off! very yummy :D their tiramisu is just a blop of cream on top of mashed cake. interesting!

went to pisa for a day trip via train, FINALLY I SEE THE LEANING TOWER! it's quite amazing how it still stands with max 30 people going on it everyday. There was a duomo and another dome right next to it but people were more obssessed with the leaning tower haha. very interesting indeed. And it's funny how EVERY tourist will raise their hands in the air pretending they re pushing the tower, and I happen to see this guy lying on the ground, pretending he's kicking the tower.

siena for the last day was more relaxing probably there's just 3 sights, but VERY TIRING! my cramps came back again and we hadta lug our stuff around wherever we went. If only I was more hobo, everything will be easier, no need to slow the group down, no need for him to carry my bag...but it was still worth it seeing the prettty Duomo and Il Campo, the most famous piazza in italy. we managed to watch a parade performance by one of the club polos. We had pasta lunch with a litre of red chianti wine. TERRIBLE! i was tomato red after lunch, abit high haha. we had difficulties finishing the wine, swallowing it down with loads of bread.

today's the 3rd day of school, i ve got an interesting mix of lecturers! mostly italian but my corp finance lecturer's from germany, spent a few years at UK before teaching in bocconi. i could understand much better here than in uwa! and i need to keep it that way to pass! no tutorials but double lectures almost everyday. i hope clara can bring my textbook over for me! that will be a huge favour.

I WANT TO WATCH VIDEOS NOW! like loads of movies and tv shows! :( :(

Italian crash course is finally OVER! Thank goodness, it's been so crashyyy we haven't been absorbing much, really. The only useful ones are:

1) Buongiorno! (with strangers) / Ciao! (with friends)
2) Vorrei...un cappuccino, un cornetto (croissant) and whatever I want to eat
3) un due tre quattro cinque sei sette otto nove dieci (1-10) in this case when the cashier tells you how much to pay! and train timings as well when we need to book trains out of milan.
4) Come arriva sth sth (how do i get to somewhere!)

so you see, all the tenses and so on that we had to learn for the exam wasnt that useful cos I don't even know how to structure my sentences properly, well I know stamps are francoboli in italian and I'm gonna get tons of stamps later!

Walked back from bocconi with vivian and sean all the way back to our residence, 45 min by foot instead of 30 min by tram cos vivian doesn't want to get fine again since she doesn't have the transport pass, good thing we applied ours on the first day! you have to wait for ten days or more to get the pass, pay 17 euros for unlimited every month, definitely worth it! Been all around with sean last saturday to montenapoleone to check Gucci prices for his mum, tried to shop in Buonos Aires (middle end stuff) but it was so crowdedddd! went back again to the high end to buy his shoe trees! All the stuff there are so sleeeeek!

Going to search for a chinese place for lunch later, seriously they are so rare here! But of course better than nothing, there are some really good ones that aren't pricey as well! Then off to chinatown to get some oyster sauce and whatever we can get haha. I cooked rice (riso) in our lousy pot, TASTED HORRIBLE! so floury haha

milan milan milan.

finally here!

hmm, very different from the side I saw less than a year ago along with FENDI crew:

ulu residence (70 euro = S$ 146 taxi fare to get from malpensa airport, took shuttle, train and tram instead!)
plenty PLENTY of americans (all 7 asian girls are americans in my italian class)
dirty, dusty, cob webby, old hotel-turned-hostel (can't believe it was a 4-star hotel before)
uni campus with no green fields, courts, sports gym but grey and random buildings!
expensive food and transport (still awaiting for my student pass for transport, still I think it's about 2 bucks for a trip!) sean and I have been around the central Duomo area, the only touristy and crowded area, and of course the food is overpriced there!
DIFFICULT to cooooook. Perth is so much easier! only sticky pans and TEFAL pans (50 euros omg) can work for the siemens electric induction stove, which means the two non-stick pots I bought all the way from Ikea (far far away) didn't work! grrr. We had to use an old one that the previous owners used. So we have to scrub it every single day cos there will be chao ta stuff on it.

enough ranting, there's good pizzas here! especially those thin-crust ones which are really hard to find though. School hasn't started but italian has. Super intensive 6 hours per day is no joke! Been trying to keep awake during classes cos it's so early in the morning! rahh. But my italian's been improving! (thank goodness) if not I won't be able to survive in Italy! They're a mix, some are super friendly, some are ignorant if they know you don't know any italian. At least now I'm able to order stuff, ask where places are, what things are and how much things cost!

yoohoo, holidaying and travelling is SO much better than studying commerce. Especially when you do it with your loved ones and you can spend time with them. My last day in Barcelona now, off to Milan tomorrow, quite excited to see the residence and uni! But I wanna travel more before school starts :(

London was quite gloomy with frequent rains. Fish n chips was'nt good but the steaks are yum. Of course I enjoyed the musicals the best, just relaxing while magic appears before your eyes, especially Wicked with those green lightings and realistic props. Grease was super fun with dances! The girls were flying around guys and they look quite comical in those 50s costumes, like guys with tight short pants and greasy hair. I like greased lightning best! And the outdoor car movie scene. Parents were a bit complainy, the hotel has no aircon, hotel too old, walk too far, they should have joined a tour instead!

Paris: Eiffel Tower at night

Paris is abit more up there with French language and brands! Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga... Mummy bought two bags for ahma, she saved 1000 bucks buying here instead of home! quite a bargain. Coffee here is expensive! Almost 7 sing dollars for a Latte. Baguettes are definitely common, had it for brekkie most days. Our apartment Adagio City is pretty modern on the 26th storey so you can see far out! Loved my little corner just beside the bed, and it was just walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, it sparkles every night hour from 7 onwards, very pretty!!! It looked as if it was made of gold.

Switzerland was a good break from the other cities, quite laid back, nice scenery with a green lake! We went around via free rental of bikes! So it was very convenient to go to far places, at rosejarten you can see the whole of Bern! Schilthorn was way way up, one of the Alps! We hadta take a train, cable car, another train, and cable car to get there! But the view is AMAZING! All the mountain top with snow caps and spring water to drink! Sausages and rosti were yummmy but quite pricey, the most ex from other cities.

gosh, have been eating so much good food nowadays especially in Singapore! Had M hotel buffet/brunch on sunday, the usual eat+gather with ahma and my uncles and cousins, very worth it! Mummy had ala carte voucher so 3 kids and 2 adults' bills were FOC! so in the end it was 170 bucks for ten of us, good right! Off to long beach seafood with sean+uncle families, nice seafood! Fish, crab, shell thingy and a couple few dishes, met his gor gor's gf! also a st nicks senior, yoohoo.

Been busy with driving and planning the routes for europe trip, leaving this monday! SO FAST! sean left this morning. :( :( :( driving all the way up to Scotland, getting his Churches shoes in Northampton on the way, and I forgot wherelse he's stopping, swam and played the game of life with him yesterday! fun fun. especially when there's little beings at the chinese swimming club.

Am researching on West End musicals: so many to choose from! Billy Elliot, Chicago, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Hairspray, Les miserables, Mama mia, Oliver, Phantom, Stomp, We will rock you, Wicked, Hamlet, Lion King, Romeo and Juliet!

today is my sleepy day.

I slept at grandma's in the evening + in the car after dinner. And I've been getting hungry easily nowadays, NO GOOD! Went to ION with Sean&family to see Gucci bags, fluffymummy wants one! My mummy wants to go high end stuff next week to look around, check price... Went zara today! FABULOUS snake skin heeeels! I cannot spend anymore, if not I cant spend in europe&spain! I feel like cooking nice stuff again! After seeing so many recipes, probably some bento dishes and chocolate desserts, yum!

10th is coming soon, well not as soon as 5th when he's leaving, will miss singapore and my perth friends, already did. Read about Ted Wu and his bridal fashion, quite inspiring. But I want to design more than bride gowns, I wanted something more neutral, light palette and fresh designs but in the end, all my drawings have bright colours :X

I have no idea why but I think I have a baby-fetish! HAHAHAHA
I will always watch a baby on the street toddling or being comfortable in the pram! And 80% of them are so kute and cuddly! I wanna give them a hug and big sloppy kiss!!! And Jerome my next door neighbour said hi to me today! They always have this curious look on their chubby faces. AWWWWW

Just started on my new drawings! the CAKE collection hoho. Inspired by cupcake cafe game @playfirst. I can't seem to get the eyes right, the models look deformed/fierce/botak/just weird. Mummy wants me to go ion and orchard central with her, wanted to go just now but I reckoned it wd be too crowded so I ended up in the gym. Visit to the chinese doctor again, so LONG QUEUE!!!! bleah. After consulting him, havta QUEUE again to wait for the medicine.

Home has been great but with loads of ranting.

I eat meals with my family.

Boo:
My mum's nagging and scolding constantly every single day.
Not much alone time with him.
Sweaty and sticky all the time.
Crowded places with unfriendly people.
Tired, lazy me.

I wish I could have those good times in Perth but I know I still have a family I need to appreciate. I want a romantic holiday getaway! With the nice beaches and comfy huge pillows.

Close my eyes and don't need to think about anything at all.
And as if that's gonna happen.

I've been feeling lethargic, down, don't-want-to-do-anything. ):
I had better polish up my drawings and learn driving properly before mummy starts scolding again.

one more year to the big 2. :(

two weeks since i ve gotten back home, been meeting up with grandpas and grandma, cousins, aunties and uncles. only headed to the gym once, shopped for my phone, clothes, lunching with mummy, planning for europe trip, dating sean, watched ice age!

19 is my best birthday so far.
spent it with my mum and sean, had good dinner @ wild rocket with him, quite lucky cos we only found a parking place at the bottom of emily hill. very nice atmosphere!
spent the 4th with my friends, swim and bbq! singapore is so humidly hot i cant stand it.
was swimming and tanning with crystal then xiangli came with her underwater camera! we tried synchro swimming, and failed terribly. oh wells, my limbs are too stiff and my body is not flexible :( i ll just stick to drawing.
thank you all for coming and making my birthday so special :)

now all i want is to be NOT LAZY, be more understanding, pass my BTT (crosses fingers) and FTT and my driving test, draw more fash figures, have more inspiration, have more fun with my friends and be more outspoken and be a brilliant gf.

went to grand copthorne to celebrate my mummy's birthday, she got the first present from me bro and sean! and she liked it! YES. it was a top, brooch and necklace! but the top was a bit short. had yummy oysters! am excited to go to barcelona to have good seafood! i think my daddy will love it. poor adrian, he cant come with us :(

I FINALLY GOT MY ITALY VISA!!!!!
after like 2 visits with the unfriendly fierce demanding un-caring woman.
i miss the service in australia and the people, singaporeans look at you differently, they stare at you. and they dont smile. and it's too crowded.

YAY me flying back to tonight!

There's just so much stuff to do, the most important being applying for italian visa. Which I need to do tomorrow. Last week was one with good food, good company and good shows! babablack was nice as usual with its delicious benedict with smoked salmon, bacon and egg on toast. Home-cooked laksa by Amanda's mum was yum! Slept over with Jeannie, had a crazy night out @ claremont, jumping and taking photographs, singing out loud tunes in the car. Gossip girl all night! I'm still unfinished with season 2. And I'm stagnant with grey's. Don't even remember which episode I last watched. Tiamo with Sean, BLT and thin crispy chips, chicken salad. Ciao Italia with Amanda Kristi Jeannie and Sean. Pizza, pasta and tiramisu! Greek restaurant with Judy Lenard Joda Raymond Sharene Sean, seafood claypot!

I have never watched so much movies in Perth before. Transformers, The Proposal and Hangover. There's still so many I wanna watch in Singapore hahaha. The hangover was quite rubbishy, all the bizarre things they do in just one night.

I'm very happy cos I ve got bargains! I bought a maxi dress, pencil skirt (which I must maintain/lose weight to continue wearing it), nice flowery ruffled sheer top! And He waited for me patiently at all shops :D

Days have been spent watching gossip girl, bolt, planning! Cooking and shopping.
Watching transformers 2 tomorrow! I just watched number 1. heh. I pinched sean quite a lot of times. SO CRUEL!!!! all the guns and poor bumble bee ):):):

ONE MORE PAPER!
It feels like I've just started the semester but in 2 more days, I'll be finishing my last paper. Then I can do whatever I like for a while, before going back to spend time with my loved ones. And work with FENDI, birthday!, meet-ups, outings, suppers, gym-ing, squash, baddy, swim, TRAVEL!, movies @ cinemas, shopping everywhere, driving...

I've got inspiration to do some art! It will still be pleasant, light colours. Had some rough ideas, can't wait to get down to doing them!
Spent the whole day at home, doing economics, drawing graphs, trying to understand crises and theories... jogged, lotsa people outdoors today! A few random kayaks and little children @ the playground, basketballers, picnic-ers and runners. The clouds were funny today, they all crowded among the buildings and houses at the lower part of the sky. Like a whole stretch. so cute! Jeannie's mum cooked yummy dinner! I'm so full now. We had flounder and curry yong tao foo! Home-cooked food is always the best.

I've been surfing the net alot. ): NO MORE COMPUTER TIL later! hee. I was gonna say a time but I know I wouldn't follow it. Do work first!

But the results, I'm not very hopeful of them.
TAX tomorrow, very scareddddd. I hope I can find the right answers within 3 hours and not screw it up. Multiple choice questions are so tricky. Don't like!

Jeannie's mum has been cooking for us these few days, yum yum. Nasi lemak, fried rice, pasta tmr... Had fresh oysters for dinner. I still want some more! And sashimi tooo. Can't wait to go back to sg for cheap ones. YAY holidays we can enjoy whatever we want. HMMM I can't wait for exams to be over. Monetary economics is a hard one, I need to get my theory right! I felt like I didn't study much for tax ): But my brain cannot absorb anymore ):):):

I AM SO TIRED.
my brain is quite squeezed, brain juice running low when MY EXAMS HAVEN'T START YET!
oh no. this week is quite horrigible with three papers. three important papers. I can pull my grades up and this is my only chance! I'm really really really scared of ITF tomorrow. I can do the qns but I'm still very inconfident. ): even with much practice.

Med dent library last few days of last week. very conducive and quiet. And I had nice dinner with sean after studying! High on sweets. I'm going jogging later! I feel like a chair-potato. I'm always on my bum doing finance qns. Exercise is good! It makes you feel fresh and well. It improves your visual memory and organisational skills! and enables you to sleep well, make you less hungry and maintains the muscles. It unclogs your pores with sweating (not like I can much here in perth).

11 more days til I'm done with exams!
I need stamina...

Gosh there were so many kids today. I was trying to hush this crying boy, Chris. BUT HE JUST KEPT CRYING. I kept asking him what he wanted but he didnt respond so I carried him to the other empty room and played vroom vroom with him. Then I lured him back to the room with all the other kids THEN HE CRIED AGAIN! aiyayaya, if only I knew better how to communicate via baby language. googabagooogoooga. I wonder if it helps. So Chris was just crying and crying. Jeannie and I had to take turns to be with him cos the moment he's alone, he will cry.

gosh. my bum feels heavy!!!

this study break is so unhealthy. sit all day long trying to absorb what you've learn. eat study, eat again study again, sleep. And the whole cycle repeats again. I hope it doesn't rain later, I need to go jogging. I feel yuck being cooped up in this house. Need to get some fresh air!

I hope my study plan is working fine, I don't really know which ones to study finish first or wait till later. I might be complacent so I need to change properly. I was thinking of finishing corp accounting before consult tomorrow, seems like too big a plan!

3 papers next week! I hope I'm not too burned out this week, feeling quite light-headed, yknow the feeling of squatting too long and then you'll feel dizzy after you stand? I squatted a lil while to sort out my notes and I feel dizzy already. I see twinkle twinkle lil stars. -blink blink Not good! Drinking more chicken essence later (mummy always tells me to) I wonder if it really helps.

this art is so amazing! I got it from strories from space, a UK website. It's so intricate with all the tiny houses and cauldrons in tiny cracks outdoors and indoors that nobody will ever imagine it to be! They're supposedly tiny worlds for insects and crawlies haha. Study break next week! Then it's exams! OH NO. ):

Had tutoring this evening, YAY geri's $275 richer! :D

It's kinda scary when she asks me questions that I'm not sure about, I had to stare at it and wish for myself to be enlightened hahaha. Luckily, it works but not all the time. I hadta recall what happens in physics class and all the funny demonstrations my physics teacher taught us like bringing crazy huge musical instruments just to let us hear the pitch difference from a tiny recorder. And the stupid circular motion experiment that we had to do, I COULDN'T DO IT! it was a horizontal circular motion case, you're supposed to rotate the weight at the end of the string at the top of your head. I JUST COULDN'T let it rotate on top of my head for like 3 secs. hahaha. it just kept hitting my head until i asked my partner to do it for me for every trial.

It's kinda fun compared to number crunching and trying to understand all the econs graphs and finance logic. I want to do more practical stuff! besides punching numbers into my calculator.

Jeannie went shopping twice this week! I want to go too !!!! I wanna get more winter clothes for MILAN! HOHOHO. YES, we're super lucky cos normally it'll only get confirmed in mid june. But i ll still have to wait for housing notification by 25th june. Then will be flying back on 28th! I hope i can get work experience somewhere and not idle my holidays away, i know i won't idle but i wanna put stuff into my resume! Deciding which countries I wanna go with sean, mummy and daddy. so far there's barcelona, prague, paris, london, amsterdam. HMMM

yawns, am so tired today. even though I had one cappucino and one flat white two hours after my first cuppa.

rainy winter's here!!!

It's so cold, windy these two days, branches dropping everywhere, I heard from jeannie a perth icon got disrupted by the wind yesterday! She thinks it might be the ferris wheel since it wasn't lighted up last night when we drove past. My sleep got distracted by the rain and wind for two days already! It feels as if the whole roof is coming down.

We have so many visitors this semester! Russell, mummy and grandparents, Sutris, Sean's parents, Jeannie's family...It's kinda tiring and boring cos Perth has nothing much so everytime a visitor comes, you'll just bring them to the same old places again and again! Swan valley, King's Park, City shopping, UWA, Freo. And what we get? more chocolates and sparkling grape juice :D
Sean's at country road NOW! 25% off! I wanna go tooooo ): But I finished finance study plan and corp accounting revision parts, yoohoo. Doing tax tutes revision now. I'm behind my revision schedule by 3 days HAHAHA. So much of preparing a schedule.

Last week of school next week! Then it's one week of study break and BOM! EXAMS!!!!
So exciting!!! I applied for Bocconi in Milan on thursday, settled all the online application and taking of passport photos (EEEEW), sending others by post soooon. Then we'll wait for the confirmation letter which should be coming around late june. Then it'll be visa and air tickets. Sean planned out where we're going! hoho. Probably spain, switzerland and further places from Italy!

Didn't know what to cook for dinner just then, ended up with chinese style linguine with chicken and mushroom. I didn't know what seasoning to use, so I put everything together! hahahah. sesame oil, dark soy, light soy sauce, peppercorns
I crave for something tasty, like oyster ommelette! hokkien mee, laksa...there's still so many days before I head home ):
